Relax & Explore

Welcome to Lexington. For a town of only about 7,000 people Lexington seems to surprise visitors because of just how much there is to do here. Sitting amidst 78,000 acres of national and state parkland in scenic Rockbridge County, the city of Lexington, Virginia is a historic college town, the home to the Virginia Military Institute and Washington and Lee University. Our historical attractions start within the walls of our own two Georges buildings and include a variety of landmarks, museums, and access to historic battlefields nearby.
